MY STORY
Welcome to Lowcountry Tutoring & Test Prep!

Tutoring and teaching is an exceptional job and career that can make a tremendous impact on a student's current progress and future success. Being a ten-year veteran teacher in the public school system in South Carolina, I have taught many grade levels, abilities, and have become even more passionate and furthered my knowledge in my field.
I am a Highly Qualified Secondary Mathematics teacher with additional certification for Gifted & Talented students and my AP Calculus AB/BC endorsement. I have also furthered my education by obtaining my masters in Instructional Design and Technology. All of these, along with the experience, have helped shape me into the person, teacher, and tutor I am today.

My husband, along with our two little ones, have made our home in the Lowcountry. This past year, I decided to leave the classroom to stay at home with my little ones and have built my business from the ground up. To be able to continue to help current and new clients along with making those important connections is what I believe I was meant to do in this world. And I honestly, couldn't be happier. Our goal, at Lowcountry Tutoring & Test Prep is to help each student realize their full potential and continue to build the ever-important confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

ASHLEY WILSON
Owner / Math Tutor
Ashley is a Highly Qualified veteran teacher with over 10 years experience in teaching and tutoring in the Lowcountry.  She began tutoring several years ago in her spare time and successfully started the company, Lowcountry Tutoring & Test Prep, LLC in 2021.  Ashley specializes in 7th-12th grade math courses, college entry math courses, and ACT/SAT test prep.  Her goal is to provide exceptional service for all clients and help in areas of curriculum, study skills, organization, and building confidence and a love for math.
DEIRDRE JOHNS
English Tutor
Deirdre is a Highly Qualified veteran teacher with over 15 years experience in teaching and tutoring in the Lowcountry.  She specializes in 6th-12th grade English, ACT/SAT test prep, college application essays, and resumes.  She is also a published writer and poet.  Check out her Facebook page, Deirdre Johns Writing Coach and Consultant or at her website, www.amuseofonesown.com
ANNA MARTINEZ
Math Tutuor
Anna is a highly qualified math teacher who has been teaching in the Lowcountry for 7+ years and tutoring elementary through college age for over 10 years. She is a graduate from the University of Georgia, specializes in 6-12th grade math, and currently teaches AP Statistics, honors Algebra, and senior-level math courses in Bluffton. Anna enjoys making Math relatable to all students and helping build confidence in their skills at any learning level.
KIMBERLEE LAMOTTE
Spanish Tutor
Kim is a Highly Qualified veteran teacher with over 17 years experience in the United States and 10 years experience in Mexico teaching and tutoring. She specializes in 6th through University level Spanish and learning English as a second language.
LIZ PATTERSON
Science Tutor
Liz is a Highly Qualified veteran science teacher who has been teaching in the Lowcountry for 8+ years and tutoring high school and college level students for science classes as well as ACT prep. Â Liz is a graduate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and specializes in 7th-College level science with a focus in Biology. Â She also offers support in EOC and AP Biology test prep.

The Answers You Need
WHY IS TUTORING IMPORTANT?
Tutoring can be beneficial for all students. From remediation to enrichment, we are there to help personalize our time to benefit both you and your child the most.  Sessions can include review, assignment assistance, test prep and review, and focus on individual skills that is important for your child.
HOW ARE SESSIONS CONDUCTED?
We currently offer both face-to-face tutoring instruction out of our office located in Old Town Bluffton or virtual tutoring through Zoom and additional platforms. Â Before your session, we ask students to send any work that they may need help on to their respective tutors.During your session, we follow a lesson plan to ensure every minute is utilized with enrichment and instruction and conversation.
WHAT TUTORING SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
While we are flexible on the needs that potential clients may have, we have spent our time focusing on 7th-College level support in math, english, science and Spanish.  We also offer focused instruction on ACT/SAT prep to help students with their College Entrance Exams.  We also offer both individual or small group sessions. Please feel free to contact me for your individual concerns and pricing for small group sessions.
HOW DOES SCHEDULING AND PAYMENT WORK?
When you reach out via the Google Form, please indicated what services you are interested in and you will be connected with an exceptional tutor in that subject area.
Future Scheduling: Clients can reserve a day and time of the week that works best for them (Pre-payment is required).

Additional Sessions: Additional sessions are available for those last minute needs. Please contact me for individual or one-time sessions.

As someone who has always struggled with math, Ashley Wilson was the best tutor I have ever had.
